Why Should You Hire A Life Coach?

Image result for why you need a life coach

The majority of the population has no idea what life coaches do. Not only that, but they have no idea what kind of person would hire a life coach. One of the most common pieces of advice that you’ll hear from nearly all self-help guru’s is that the fastest way to success is to find a coach, mentor or role model that can help you achieve your goal much faster! Have you heard this before?  I know I have.

Every “guru” from Tony Robbins,  Joe Vitale, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield & countless other “guru’s” speak the same advice. I remember about 30 years ago, I went to a Tony Robbins seminar. Back then he was still Anthony Robbins. I must say he left me inspires for weeks AFTER his seminar. That seminar also inspired me to start my skin care line.

When was the last time someone hit you with a $10,000 price tag? Maybe when you bought a car or made a deposit on your home. But $10,00 for a Life Coach??? The first time I found my first coach, this is what it would cost to work with her. I was shocked! I knew I wanted to change my life, but I had no idea that hiring a talented professional coach would cost as much as a car.

At the very core of my being, I knew that my decision to invest in myself had nothing to do with her fee, after all, a “no” to her was a “no” to ME and to my dreams! I wanted to change my life, I wanted to succeed, I wanted my dreams to come alive. So how much was all this worth to me? I’ll tell you, a LOT more than $10,000! So I did what I needed in order to come up with that money. When you really want something, it’s amazing how resourceful & creative you become!

At the time I definitely did not have $10,000, so what was I suppose to do? I knew that hiring a coach would help me achieve my goals faster, bring my dreams to life & identify what was holding me back. Yeah of course I would eventually figure it out, I mean in the 48 years I’m on this planet I did learn a lot. But was I willing to run through a maze to figure it out? Was it worth it to me to have someone hold my hand & show me what to do? How much time would I save going this route? How much money would I save?? So yes, the answer was this was worth the risk. Because I was the sort of client that was willing to put everything in my being into this decision, I got the world back from my investment.

When you begin to make changes in your life & receive more into your life, it feels exciting, it’s uplifting, & also scary & unfamiliar. All is good until it starts to unconsciously feel like too much, because you are not used to being in this place & your ego dislikes change. That is when you start to feel uncomfortable because you feel too happy (waiting for something to go wrong), you don’t feel safe or you feel overwhelmed receiving so much attention, then the self-sabotage begins. You bring yourself down to where you feel more energetically comfortable. Having a coach will help you learn how to manage the receiving of more in your life, so you don’t abandon yourself & your dreams.

When you’re doing things on your own, you’re struggling your way through, getting lost, & frustrated.  Maybe you have some kind of direction, but you don’t know whether it’s the fastest way because you’ve never made it there before. Don’t fall into the”I’ll do it myself” trap, most people fall into this trap & it holds them back from having massive success in their lives!  It’s something that held me back for years (decades!), & if I could go back in time, I would have immediately found a life coach at the beginning of my journey. I would’ve never hesitated or looked back.  It would have saved me so much stress, time, & money in the long-run.  I’m thankful I’ve learned my lessons now & have had several coaches & mentors in my life. I have coaches & mentors for my personal life, my business & mentors & coaches to help bring my business to the next level! Yes they are all worth it!

We can’t take ourselves where we want to go alone. It doesn’t work! By the time we realize what’s going on, decades will have past & the “what if” begins to kick in. Then the age factor takes center stage & then well….you could imagine how it begins to roll downhill really fast from there!

A good coach understands what it takes to make a transition & take your life or business to the next level, a level you can’t even begin to imagine. They lead the way for you to have the greatest success in the least amount of time, sharing the how’s, why’s, & their transformational tool box. A coach will spot your self-sabotaging patterns & thinking of unworthiness quickly, so you can stop tripping yourself up & move forward confidently.

Having a coach inspired a certain level of confidence in me, I was able to get clarity about what I really wanted & once acted upon, transformed my life for the better. So how do you know if it’s time to hire a life coach& what can a coach help you with?

You Lack Confidence.

Everyone is wearing their battle scars, the difference between those who are happy & sad are the ones who have learned to let pain go. I can’t tell you how many clients hold onto their pain!

Saves You Time And Gets You Faster Results.

Time is the most scarce resource that exists.  You can always make more money, but you can’t get more time.  Yet, when we attempt to do things on our own we’re taking the long route & wasting that time away.  This is simply because we don’t know the path ahead & what to expect.

Lack A Clear Vision… Having A Life Coach Saves You Money.

In the beginning I had some general ideas on what I wanted, start a business, to help people, to be more authentic in my career. I really wasn’t clear on the specifics & I wasn’t sure how to get there. When I first started my business, I had no clue what I was really doing.  I thought I did, because I was reading books & consuming resources, but I still had no clue.  Not having a clue what you’re doing essentially means you’re leaving a whole whack of money on the table that you could be making.  That was the case for me.  Not only that, but I was spending and wasting money in all the wrong areas, that wasn’t producing a return on investment. My coach told me exactly what I needed to be doing and I listened!

A Life Coach Gives You Ideas You Never Thought Of.

Whether you’re looking to make a huge career change, or you’re facing a significant life transition, it’s no secret you’ll burn your friends & family out if you treat them like therapists. The solution always resides inside of you, but many times we are so fearful, we can’t hear or see it. Coaching can help you look at any situation from a different perspective to get you out of that paralyzing fear.

You’re Thinking “Now What”?

Life coaching can be a perfect self-discovery journey. I’ve learned so much about myself throughout the years by having a coach or mentor.  One of the most valuable things are the lessons & insights you get about yourself.  You’re always getting feedback & discovering more about yourself in the process.  A life coach is able to point these things out & help you become aware of them, so that you can change them.  It’s the little things that make a massive difference!  I’ve seen incredible transformations within people just by making small changes to their way of thinking or how they are showing up.  A good coach cares and is always honest with you.

THE BEST IN THE WORLD HAVE A COACH… SO WHY WOULDN’T YOU???

Many of the top entertainers, musicians, performers, entrepreneurs, investors, & leaders on this planet have coaches. Successful people have coaches!

Ask yourself, does Tiger Woods need a coach?  Does Michael Jordan need a coach?  Of course not!  But, by having a coach, they are able to have the edge.  They are able to get MORE out of themselves than they ever could on their own.  Both Tiger Woods & Michael Jordan often talk about the coaches they’ve had & the influence they’ve had in their lives.

The reality is, people that are successful have coaches, mentors & role models along the way.  Nobody did it on their own.  People that think “I can do it on my own” will never make it.  It’s a limiting belief …a story they tell themselves again & again. This thought process is exactly what is preventing them from having success.

It’s the same thing when people say, “I can’t afford it.”  Whenever someone says that they can’t afford something or don’t have the money, it’s NEVER a matter of money.  It always comes down to how committed they really are.  If you are committed to something, you will find the way to make it happen!

Think about something you really, really wanted but didn’t have the money for it. What did you do? I’m pretty sure that you found a way to come up with the money.  It’s because you are committed to it.  It’s that same level of urgency & commitment that you need to have in every other area of your life if you want to succeed.

Instead saying I can’t afford it, say I’m not worth the investment…How does that sound? This is what you’re really saying when it comes to investing in yourself!

In the end you don’t need coaches—you are perfect just as you are. Coaches are just there to help you get clear & make the greatness you have to offer happen faster. So go out & step into your power. Why waste even more time saying no to your dreams, when you can say yes to the transformation that awaits you?
